Amanda Jeffries is the executive assistant to the President at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP). In this role, she provides general office-wide support, with specific focus on senior leadership.
Prior to joining IHEP in 2016, Jeffries served as the executive assistant to the Health Commissioner and Health Director for the City of New Orleans Health Department in New Orleans, Louisiana. In that position, Jeffries managed senior level staff, controlled and maintained the working calendars of senior level staff, maintained the department’s social media presence and worked closely with the Mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu and his staff.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Jeffries graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2012 with her B.A. in English writing.
